This is my first post. It's kind-of exciting. :) I started this to keep memories, write down my son's crazy antics, share pictures with friends and family, and to someday share it with my son and any future children.
And yes, the name of my blog is part of a quote from Lilo and Stitch. The whole quote is
"This is my family. I found it, all on my own. Is little, and broken, but still good. Yea, still good." I used this quote to name my blog because I use it all the time to describe my family. It's not a "traditional" family.
So I guess the first thing I should do is introduce myself, for those of you reading this blog that don't know me personally.
My name is Sarah. I am 26yrs old. I like reading, writing short stories, and scrapbooking. I love my IPhone. I don't go anywhere without it. I am big on car seat safety. I JUST turned my son forward facing when he turned 3yrs old over the summer. I am homeschooling my son right now and plan on doing it for as long as I can. At the moment I live with my mom and her husband but in January I am moving out!(providing all the paperwork checks out OK) My son and I are blessed that a friend of mine is moving out of her apartment and I will take over the lease and not have to pay a deposit. Yay!

My boyfriend, John, is the absolute love of my life. Right now we live apart. I live in MD and he lives in NJ. We met on EHarmony and it's been a fun roller coaster ride. Our 1yr anniversary is coming up soon and I couldn't be happier. He loves my son and treats him like a king.(that's actually our nickname for him) When I move our of my mothers house, John will be helping me out with the apartment. It will be so nice to be able to have some time alone with him without having everyone around and just being able to watch TV and hang out.

My son, Nicholas is 3yrs old. He's my June Bug. He was born 6/20/2008. He is the light of my life. I love him so much. He makes me want to pull my hair out of my head sometimes but then he turns and looks at me with the sweetest eyes and I just melt. Nicholas is very energetic, and full of fun. He loves to watch Jake and the NeverLand Pirates and Mickey Mouse ClubHouse on Disney JR. I'm pretty strict when it comes to what he can and can't watch on TV. He is allergic to milk, soy, cinnamon, and penicillin. Along with skin allergies to dyes and perfumes in soaps and lotions. Nicholas is a special needs child. He has Verbal Apraxia, Expressive Language Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, and some sensory issues. He is super smart. He tries his best to get the right words out and get them out properly. We are working on the sensory problems right now and he's doing pretty good in PT. He goes to Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Physical Therapy each week. He loves to go to playgroup and play with his friends Nyky and Alex. We are sad to see Nyky move in January but happy that we will be moving into that apartment. Nicholas is excited because I told him we don't have to repaint Nyky's room when we move in because it's already the same colors I would have picked out for Nicholas. Nicholas loves to play and run around at the park. He likes looking at books, playing with his Thomas the Train set, playing with cars and trucks, and playing outside. From what I can tell his favorite color is green and his favorite food is pasta or tomatoes.
